Singer & Song Writer, born in Rochester, New York. DeeDee was raised by both parents, Frederick Reed and Mary Kennedy. DeeDee is the youngest of of 4 children, she has two sisters, Rhonda Hill and Dawn Riddick, one brother, Frederick Walker. DeeDee starting singing at a young age in the church where she grew up in, "Little Lighthouse Church," in Rochester, New York, where the founder is the former Pastor James and Loumanda Reed. Presently the Pastor is Evangelist Earlene Palmer. In DeeDee''s youth and teenage years she was inspired by her grandparents, the former Pastor James and Loumanda Reed. In High School, DeeDee joined a Statewide Choir called Gospel Unique in Rochester, New York, she was a member of this choir for several years until she graduated in the year of 1991, she then relocated to Florence S.C. where she met her husband Leavy Wells Sr., and they presently have 3 boys, Leavy Jr., Frederick, and Shiffon Wells. DeeDee is now a member of Bethel Apostolic Church in Florence, S.C., where the founder is the former Bishop UI McCall, the Pastor is now Elder Harry Williams. Presently DeeDee sings on the church choir, also for funerals, weddings, and different occasions. DeeDee was the Youth Choir Director at Bethel Apostolic for two years, and served as the director faithfully. DeeDee was a member of the "S & E Choir" in Florence S.C. and also was a member of a group called "Gospel Explosion in Rochester, N.Y.
DeeDee was inspired by a friend of the family named Ms. Cora Trotter who heard her sing a solo in the year of 2004. Ms. Trotter advised her to start recording music at that time. Ms. Trotter then introduced DeeDee to Kelvin"lionell richiee" Smith who owns "Smith Brothers Records" 843-992-7436, in Florence, S.C. Immediately, DeeDee started writing songs and in within a 6 month period DeeDee wrote 19 songs and recorded 13 songs on her first CD. DeeDee made her first appearance at Bethel Apostolic Church in July 2005, and was honored for her appearance at that time. DeeDee also performed at "The Luther Barnes 9th Annual Fall Gospel Classic," along with Dorothy Norwood, The William Brothers, and Slim and the Supreme Angels, along with other artists. DeeDee''s first CD entitled "GET TO KNOW HIM," was released in October 2005 and is in heavy rotation here on local radio stations.
