She was a finalist in the National Grand Slam Songwriting Contest, is a NACA Showcase artist and a member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS).
Her CDs "Mary Arden Collins" and "Alone w/ the B-Sides", released on indie label Feelin'' Groovy Records, received commercial radio airplay, while earning critical acclaim from such national publications as "Radio & Records". She recently made the big move to Los Angeles and is recording her new CD with Grammy nominated producer Bill Drescher.
Named after Shakespeare''s mother and the artisan town of Arden, Delaware in which she was born, Mary Arden began writing songs soon after graduating from St. Joseph''s University with a BA in Fine and Performing Arts and English. Her performing skills were honed on the theatrical stages of Wilmington and Philadelphia. Soon after, she created Arden Entertainment, and later Arden Music to devote herself to music full-time. As she said in her commencement speech to the first graduating class at Cab Calloway School of the Arts": "I am living my dream!"
