This psychedelically tinted album takes you on a metaphorical trip. From the opening track "Burned", one begins the trip by hurling through space, landing in the beautiful world of "Cancer on the Photograph" a ballad tinted with "carnivals of mescaline". From there the album goes through some rockers, the Keith Richards inspired "Shot by Bullets" and title track "She Comes in Waves" with unbelievable Beach Boys like harmony and driving bassline.
As you are settling into the trip, two ballads follow including the Velvet Underground-like "Consider" featuring Sophia''s beautiful voice. From there, the trip picks up speed again with psychedelic rocker "No Resistance". Next the trip takes a darker more urban turn with songs "Shock Me", "Calendar Green" and "City''s on Fire". Finally when coming down from the trip, the listener is soothed with ballads "Talking to Wendy" about Peter Pan and "A Little Faith"
All in all, "She Comes in Waves" tries to capture the feeling of classic albums of the 60''s and 70''s with exceptional writing and songs that don''t all sound the same.
