Details:
This double album is the product of fourteen months https://www.tradebit.com was recorded on a Studer A80 Mk.1 8 track 1" and mastered using Sony DAT & Mini disc ( 20 bit) machines in a garage in the colder climes of North Yorkshire, UK. The main instrumentation is a Gibson ES 335 12 string electric, 12 string acoustic, Korg M1 synth, Stephanie Nazier, hand percussion my kids Simon and Emily and a whole lot of coffee!!! Mostly, they are instrumentrals. I did it not because I was on some sort of ego trip, it was just something I had to do. Having an understanding family is really something..
There are about 100 copies of this on cassette here and there so this is the first outing for it in the USA on CD. I miss not recording on the Studer but I could not afford the bills. The last one was for 1600$ when I was at Uni.

I have to mention all the staff at the University of Hull , (Simon, Andrew, Howard, Owen, Bethany, Michael who taught me piano at the priory, Bridlington), Liz, Irana who taught me piano and had to sit and listen to me doing my best with Beethoven,(everybody in the dining room) all the guys on my course) Scarborough campus for teaching me stuff and getting me fixed up with a PC on which I record all my new pieces...thank you.

The first piece ''Whale song'' is one of my favourites, strange as it may seem, I''m not that keen on most of my stuff, it just comes out like it does but I like this.I had the chords for weeks in my head but did not like the way I played them until one day I sat down and played them a different way (on an M1).''This way, that way'' took weeks to work out the progressions and the first time I recorded them, thought, ''well that was a waste of four weeks work''.The third time I had a good 12 string acoustic down which was followed immediately with https://www.tradebit.com rest of it was built up from my M1, including percussion.I needed a synth, I wanted to get one that did everything including making the https://www.tradebit.comila said ''we''ll take the money out of housekeeping for a second hand one''. I looked in the local paper and a M1 was advertised at York which we bought.

In my ignorance, I wiped all the patches from its memory. Fortunately there two cards with it.
Obscure things like ethnic instruments and stringed instruments. Nonetheless, there were some amazing patches on which to build. I had to learn how to programme quickly. That''s why the sounds on the album are original.I had to sell that M1 when I was doing a postgrad degree
to keep https://www.tradebit.comently have bought https://www.tradebit.com I had the money, I would get a Trinton, but I''m lucky to have what I have so its back to programming the M1 again. That machine is capable of some gorgeous sounds, it just takes https://www.tradebit.cometimes I''d battle away all day to do 2 maybe 3 combinations fully edited in a day.(If this spelling is a bit off, I do apologise, spelling was never my best thing even though a read a lot.)''Eynhallow'' has got some strength about it. The name is Norse for ''holy island'' and is named after a small uninhabited island off Orkney.I like Orkney and go to stay with friends about once a year.(Hi Linda, Ellie, Billy and John).
