East Timor lost roughly 1/3 of its population during a 25 year struggle for independence from Indonesia which ended, successfully, in 1999. So, we sent letters to everyone we knew in punk, rockabilly, hip-hop, electronica, folk and so on--asking if they''d give us some music for a benefit album.
All profit from the resulting compilation goes to Community Aid Abroad-who are based in Australia and providing aid for the refugees displaced in the campaign for self-rule.
