Details:
"Somewhere Inside" the CD recorded by the artist known as Flynn Tomas Tolbert is a unique blend of Progressive Rock using different flavors of American music such as blues, jazz and rock as the main ingredients in a 70''s retro/theatrical thing that is so cool.

All the music and lyrics/poetry are written, arranged and produced by Flynn.

Recorded at various studios in L.A.''s San Fernando Valley and mixed at the world famous Record Plant in Hollywood.

The CD starts off with the Golden Poet Award winning lyrics of "The Marble Stairs". This little ditty features Flynn''s powerful rock vocals and the smooth guitar work of John Lapyre.

The next song is the haunting melody "To The Lights". A song about a small town boy losing himself in the big city music scene.

The radio friendly "Even Little Children Can See" arrives next showing the listener just how eleghant and melodic Flynn''s piano and string arrangements can be.

The fourth song on the CD is the instrumental entitled "Big Sound, Tinsel Town". This tune was written about cruisin'' on the freeways of L.A. It features sax man Danny Moynahan''s powerful solos, the heavy jazz/rock rhythms of drummer Trey Bennett, and Flynn''s 70''s jazz fusion work on keyboards that really set this song apart fron the rest of the crowd. This is a personal favorite of the artist.

The fifth song "And the World Cries" was written on a balcony in Spanish Harlem. It''s a touching song about the senseless violence that occurs in the world today. Once again, sax man Danny Moynahan gives a soulful performance to Flynn''s haunting vocal melody.

Next up is the funky rock tune "Hole in the Wall". The lyrics are of an imaginary western theme about the legendary 1800''s outlaw gang of Thermopiles, Wyoming.

Street sounds begin the next song "Child of Strange Times". A stinging jazz/rock composition reminisant of early Steely Dan. The song is about a young man growing up in the crime-ridden neighborhoods of the South Bronx. This song features the twisted jazz guitar solo of L.A. session guitarist Odell Ross and the progressive piano styling''s of Flynn.

The eighth song "Lovers/Friends" does a complete 180 turn, as it starts out with some tasty pedal steel work by Nashville native Barry Blackwood. This song has a unique blend of country and jazz. Flynn uses different piano''s to color the music as a painter would use different colors to change the mood of a painting.

"Where Will We Be Tomorrow?", song number nine, warns the listener about the dangers of reckless behavior and the consequences later on in life. This song features tight performances and interplay between drummer Trey Bennett and Flynn on piano.

The CD ends with the dark title cut "Somewhere Inside". Although Flynn won''t admit it to the press, it''s rumored that this song is about the mysterious death of his father, artist Tomas Tolbert. Left as a rough mix, this song puts out a vibe you won''t soon forget.

This CD was engineered by legendary RCA, A&M Records recording engineer Dick Bogert (Elvis Presley, Carpenters, Johnny Mathis) and master mixed by Robbes Stieglitz (Van Halen) and Flynn. This CD is a must for listeners of all ages. You won''t be disappointed.
