So I will tell you now. I was in San Diego some years back, when they still had a Gemco sort of like a retail store. And I saw these poor people pushing shopping carts with everything they had in the world in them. And they were all walking alone with their heads down .shopping carts full of rags plastic bottles old and worn out blankets and sleeping bags. Since I was waiting for my mother to come out of the store I noticed that they were all going to this trash barrel that was on fire and they were warming their hands over the fire. Well my heart went out to those people. And immediately this song begin to form. And my mother who passed away in 97 came and got in the car. So I took her home. Sat down and wrote , Margaritaville, the fifth song on this album. Praise God forever more.
