The contrasting personalities and bursting ideas of this young band make it an immediate success waiting to happen. With inspiration from Bob Dylan through R.E.M to Nirvana, Glasssapple combines resplendent harmony with crashing guitar riffs, ornate melodies and exploding drum fills. This band plays for the sheer thrill of performing, sending their message to the ever-increasing number of followers.
Glassapple began life as an acoustic duo, with Dean and Jamie forming a mix of skilled song-writing and memorable solos. Soon, after working with another bassist they found Paul and the captivating baselines were weaved effortlessly into the body of the pre-existing songs. After two years and a succession of four other drummers, they discovered the last piece of their perfect jigsaw in the form of James, supplying the elusive ingredient needed to fuel their authentic, rock/indie-charged sound.
Their most successful and well-received song to date, See Through, which titles their debut EP, was a joint effort between writers Paul and Jamie, although Jamie pens the majority. Hopefully, the juggling act that the band has had to employ thus far, combining academic achievements with a yearning desire to express themselves musically, will finally pay off.
