It went on to say that current slang and terms were fed into this giant computer and the machine generated the songs and melodies, and all A&R reps were left to do was go out and find an appealing face that could sell posters, to lip synch to these potential computer pinned hits. At first this may seem like a Weekly World News headline...until you hear GYPZY BLVD.
Quite frankly if PAYOLA didn''t dictate what songs got rotation on the radio, this disc would probably yield two top 40 hits. But then again if a frog had wings he wouldn''t bump his ass every time he leaped now would he? Taking nothing away from the Now Thats What I Call Music Volume 44 roster (what number are they on now anyway? they''ve caught up with the damned Super Bowl haven''t they)but GYPZY BLVD could easily out jam, out write, and out perform almost any of the artist on those crispy top 40 treats. Hollywood Girls would fit nice and snug between Lenny Kravitz, Goo Goo Dolls and Matchbox 20 without missing a beat....no pun intended. In the words of BOSTON (i know a bunch of 16 year olds are scratching their heads now going "who") LISTEN TO THE ALBUM!!!
