Born in Tulsa Oklahoma, James began guitar at age 11. Realizing his passion for music, he began studying piano. After playing in various bands through his school years he moved to California where at age 18, he was helped produce the successful late 70''s "The Dwight Twilley Band". James continued his career producing, and performing.
Composing music for film and television to arranging stings for new talent James has established himself. Barth''s compositions have a unique style. Composing and producing from his studio in Los Angeles, he continues to create music for a diverse collection of listeners.
