MP3 John Ludwig - "Grief, Loss and Hope for Tomorrow" - FOLK: Gentle

Original music that provides comfort and nourishment to those grieving a loss - done in a warm blend of acoustic styles.

14 MP3 Songs
FOLK: Gentle, EASY LISTENING: Mature

Details:
The first album from songwriter John Ludwig who turned to music after his wife''s diagnosis with cancer and subsequent death. During the course of the grieving process he came to realize that the music that helped to heal him was truly meant for showing others a path that goes from grief and loss to hope for tomorrow.

There is an interesting blend of sounds on the album, with tracks that range from a solo guitar instrumental to those with flute, fiddle, harmonica, and percussion. This is a musical journey through a topic often ignored, but ultimately one that everyone must deal with. Heartfelt songwriting, insightful lyrics, and strong melodies are put into warm and intimate arrangements that comfort, uplift and affirm the listener.

Faith, hope, healing and belief in a better future are themes throughout the album. Some of the highlight songs are:
Army of Footprints - which extends the Footprints in the Sand story to a community of faith
Mustard Seed - an upbeat song with a sing-along chorus that deals with how to unlock the potential in all of us
From Your Eyes - a song dedicated to the caregivers that features some inspired fiddle and djembe playing
Aspiring Without a G - a soulful acoustic piece with the whimsical first line, "Aspiring without a G is just aspirin"
Nobody Gets Out For Free - full of images pulled from the 23rd Psalm
To Let Go - a song on the struggle in letting go
Moonlight Guides Us Home - in a world of multi-tracked,edited excess this soothing instrumental shows there is still a place for an undubbed solo guitar played from the heart
