Quick message from Eric: Incase JLY fans don''t know I''m currently living in Seattle. I just played a show at the "Q" Cafe. Four songs (Evaporated, Seasick Sometimes, Starlight Getaway, Room So Lively) and quite an homage to Jon and Naz. Although we are on a brief hiatus we are by no means "disintegrated". Look for more Seattle dates in the coming weeks.

"Most of our lives are spent recovering our pasts".

BIO:
"We are a derivative of music that cannot be labeled. When it comes from your soul, labeling is purely for those with a price tag," says singer/guitarist Eric Patten. Strongly rooted to San Diego, Just Like Yesterday can afford to bend the rules. Patten, who began his music career in the hip-hop field, has grown into a fascinating lyricist willing to open a novel of life stories to any audience. Drummer, Jonathan Morris, easily the most trained and diverse musician of the trio, mixes Jazz beats with an interpolation of Dave Grohl to create a unique sound that truly drives the band. "I''m probably a combination of John Bonham meets Animal (from the Muppets)," Morris jokes. As for third member, Nazareth (Naz) LaMay, his beginnings come from the old school hardcore scene and Clash-esqe British rock. He even attributes his musical influences to the Goo Goo Dolls and U2, calling them his favorite "rock bands".

Armed with a multi-faceted set, which includes Conga drums, double bass, acoustic guitar, and multiple effects, along with a standard electric rock format, Just Like Yesterday can relate to nearly all on-looker''s musical interests. Hearing such a "full" sound, the listener can expect to receive songs like "Vampires" with mixed emotions. The serious overtones of the lyrics can wrench you in, while the bouncing percussion and driving bass, melt into your head with each down strum.

Look for Just Like Yesterday at any venue across Southern California and the West Coast. "Believe me, we don''t play favorites or act like we''re too good to do anything. Our first show was in a bar the size of a U-Haul," LaMay remarks on the band''s dedication.
