Laurie has been a working musician for over 20 years, starting as a drummer for local rock bands in Staten Island, NY, eventually adding guitar and vocals to her repertoire. She has also led many church folk groups consisting of children and adults, and helped start the Rock and Rejoice group (with her boys on percussion) for the children''s program at Princeton Alliance Church, in Plainsboro NJ.
For the last 6 years Laurie has been an assistant teacher at a preschool in Cranbury, NJ, singing with the children everyday and coming up with ideas for this (and at least the next) CD. These are the songs that were the most loved and requested, as well as a few new ones written just for this project. Laurie wrote all the songs, and played all the instruments on this project.
The CD was recorded, produced, and the graphics designed by her husband Kevin. Kevin has worked on live sound reinforcement throughout the NYC area, as well as engineered and produced many other projects since the late 1970''s.

Dedications/Song Ideas
I Love Popcorn - For Robbie my youngest son, this is his very favorite snack.
Imagine That - For all those children that flip me out and crack me up with their ideas and jokes.
Scruffy Dog Song - My son Mike said at 3 years old,"Let''s write a song about Scruffy." (our puppy) so we did. Thanks Mike for the idea, it worked well.
I Have A Teddy Bear - All kids have a teddy bear, so lets use that for a song I thought, and so it became a song.
Poka Dotted Dino - This tune was written as a request from a friend and teacher in the school I now work in. Bobbie Bartolone asked me to write a song to accompany her dinosaur lesson in 1998. We still use it in our lessons and it has turned out to be our very favorite song in our classes. Thank you Bobbie for giving me the idea, and the outlet to be creative musically.
Dilly Dally Sally - This tune is for all the slow moving little people I have encountered over my years of working in a pre school. More power to you!!!!
Grandmas'' House - This is a song dedicated to my mother in law Pat Davis. My kids never ever want to leave your house. They have so much fun with you Pat. Thanks for always welcoming all of us with open arms!!!!!
It''s Time - This tune is written from a child''s point of view to a special adult person in their lives as a "thank you for caring" message.
And this is a final Dedication to Kevin. I recruited my husband to,"Just do me a little favor", in September of 2002. He said "Sure why not", and he has been working ever since. Recording, Producing, Graphic Design, Adding this to Computer Web sites, Ideas on how to advertise, etc. So all I can say is a Big Thank you because all I did was write the music, arrange, and perform. Kevin did all the work and I had all the fun. What a great Husband I have!!!!!! Thank you so much for all you have done and will do for this and further music projects that we will do together.
