Hello...I''m Kathryn Scheldt. My CD "Gettin'' Ready" is a collection of original and traditional spirituals featuring some of Nashville''s finest instrumentalists. Just to give you a little background, this CD came out in 2007 after Hurricane Katrina devasted the southern Gulf Coast where I live. I come from a family of musicians and grew up writing and singing songs. With a Master''s of Music in voice and guitar I have published 2 books with Mel Bay Publications, Inc. including "The Guitar Songbook for Music Therapy." My performance background varies from rock bands to the concert stages in Europe and the USA. I have studied with Grammy winning guitarist, David Russell and Aaron Shearer. While living in Rome, I sang with jazz legend Tony Scott. I am soloist at St. Paul''s Episcopal Church in Mobile, Alabama and a member of Bella Voce, Mobile''s premier women''s chorus.
