When one of the most widely circulated publications in San Diego writes that your bands’ debut is one of cities best, it would be easy to settle and stay the course – after all if it isn’t broke, why fix it?
But Ryan Johnson, co-founder of San Diego''s The Frantic Romantic, wasn’t interested in settling. While gaining a reputation as a solid local indie act was a positive experience, Ryan, along with fellow ex-Romantics Mark Anderson and Brad Filip, strived to be bigger and better. The three have a passion for playing music not for themselves, but for a broader audience and have worked to write music that is destined for a larger stage. Ryan, Mark, and Brad have focused their sights on new ground and the result is Publicists!
The band recently finished its recording debut entitled "Stories". The disc features 8 tracks and will be available online and at the band’s live performances.
