This past year there has been much to think about, cry about, and write about.

My first album was the product of 15 years writing and recording. This one had to happen all in one year. The words, music, and themes came spilling out.

When times are uncertain and dangerous, words come easily. They find their voice and warn of war, hunger and freedoms lost along the way. Then, many of these things came true.

I found myself reaching back more than 30 years for a few lyrics when we also found ourselves fearful or furious. And, yes, there are some songs I didn''t write. But, they seemed to fit. Songs must be sung, and once again you get me. But, it''s not about the story teller, it''s not about the minstrel, it''s not about the preacher. It''s about the songs.
