Elementary students and beginners in Spanish will find this album to be a super fun resource for building vocabulary and practicing the language. The songs are remarkably catchy and instructive, inviting the listener to sing along while learning important and otherwise hard-to-learn content. English and Spanish vocabulary words are sung back to back and then repeated. Each of the fourteen tracks on Super Spanish Vocabulario covers a different theme and literally makes learning Spanish rock!

Luciano Valle Torres was born in Argentina and moved to the United States in 1997 to work as a musician. Luciano has a bachelor’s degree in international studies with a professional concentration in international business and a minor in music. He has performed with many ensembles including The Oregon Winds Ensemble, The Oregon Percussion Ensemble, Lane Symphonic Band, Lane Chamber Orchestra, and many local and international bands. Luciano has worked for five years as a bilingual education assistant and translator for Oregon’s Lane County Education Service District and for elementary and middle schools in the area. Luciano is currently teaching middle school Spanish while finishing his Master''s Degree in Education.
Bryan and Luciano began their collaboration in 2003 when they taught first grade together for the Lane County Migrant Education Summer School. They integrated music in the classroom to support the learning of core curriculum. Rockin’ Amigos grew out of Bryan’s proclivity for writing new songs to teach academic content. Luciano brought his music experience to the task of producing and recording music that Bryan then field tested with his K-5 students. Students, parents, teachers and school administrators have enthusiastically responded to the music and
methodology.
As a business Rockin’ Amigos seeks to make a significant impact on education through several avenues: 1) retail sales of our quality music CDs and print resources, 2) staff development, teaching teachers how to teach content through rhythm and music, 3) school assemblies and other performances, 4) fund raising for schools through sales of Rockin’ Amigos CDs and print resources to students, 5) special recordings including participation of the children, and 6) donating 10% of
profits to support education in developing countries.
