Jorma Koskisen Hittiparaati is a finnish humour-pop band. Our music has beautiful harmonies sang by Mikko Sillfors and Ilppo Lukkarinen and Sami. All songs are written and composed by Sami Vähä-Herttua. We love everyone of you beautiful people who choose to download/buy this beautiful peace of art. Thank you.
We have a high respect of Rauli Badding Somerjoki, Tapio Rautavaara, Veikko Lavi, Eppu Normaali, Tuomari Nurmio etc. You could list many others. We were wondering, why is it, that almost all of the really good songs were made in the sixties or most likely in the seventies. After that the quality has started to go down. Now there is mostly heavy metal in Finland, and MTV-style dance-pop with no soul and uniqueness. We thought, why don´t we do it all over again? Singing in multiple voices, like the bloody Beatles did? Sha-la-la-laa... We had our guru guiding us - Gösta Sundgvist (now in heaven), who made all styles of music perfectly.
That´s it. We will probably sell more records in future and people will love our seventies-sound. Even if they don´t - it doesn´t really matter. Cause we love it ourselves. Because this is finnish music, we better put it down also in our native language.

Perustimme Jorma Koskisen Hittiparaatin vuonna 2007 huumorimielessä Helsingissä Samin, Ilppon parin muun hemmon kanssa. Studiossa mukaan tuli avuksi Mikko Sillfors ja Markku Syrjälä, jolloin kaikki palaset loksahtivat kohdalleen! Siitä asti olemme treenanneet Samin säveltämiä kappaleita säännöllisesti ja purkittaneet niitä studiossa levylle.
Musiikkimme on maanläheistä ja stemmalaulantaan perustuvaa 70-luvun henkistä poppia. Tällä ensimmäisellä levyllä noin puolet kappaleista huumorikappaleita. Samin hauskat tarinat vievät kuulijan milloin Alanyan hiekkarannoille, milloin menetettyyn Karjalaan. Nimikappale Henkisyyden markkinoilla- kertoo osuvasti nykypäivän hengellisyyden janosta ja turhakkeista, joilla sitä tyydytetään messuilla ja markkinoilla. Vaan, mitä tehdä, kun yksikään guru ei tuo lohtua?
