MP3 Michael David Singer - Breath of Life
Etheric, angelic voice with piano and classical chamber music for string quartet and duet. This original music inlcudes themes evocative of dramatic film scores, traditional classical and a dash of 20th Century composers. Soothing and satisfying.

Composing is first love to Michael David Singer, a San Diego attorney for over twenty years. Michael grew up playing piano and listening to records by Oscar Peterson, McCoy Tyner, Joe Williams, and Frank Sinatra blasted by his father over the home hi-fi system. He began playing keyboards with jazz bands in high school in Los Angeles in the ''70s, played commercially throughout college and law school in the San Francisco Bay Area, then settled into writing and composing in the ''90s while living in San Diego.
Michael''s first CD release in 1999, entitled The Dance of Aphrodite, was a solo affair. This was a piano album that included his first foray into classical composition, a piano reduction of a sonatina originally written for piano and violin. Michael''s second CD, Breath of Life, is by far his most ambitious project. This album includes two pieces recorded with the angelic vocals of Carrie Skye Fisher, debuting from Boulder Colorado. The remaining pieces were recorded using violin, viola, cello, and contrabass players from the San Diego Symphony Orchestra.
