Lenora started singing at the tender age of three years old. She sung with her sister and brothers when they were young. Later she joined the church choir
and sung on the choir faithfully. At the age of twelve years old Lenora accepted the Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. At the age of fourteen in
her fathers’ church she was the children’s assistant choir director and assisted with the adult choir. Lenora and her sister started singing together as a duo at
various functions from gospel singing, choir anniversaries, and funerals.
Lenora graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Fayetteville State University as a Chancellor Scholar. She
was in numerous honor societies during her collegiate years. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Masters in Public Administration degree from the
University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She is highly respected among her colleagues, and family, friends. She is also a mentor. She has held numerous
meetings in her home with young girls conveying them to seek success and dare to be different. She also is a Sunday School teacher, National Youth
Department President of the Holy Bible Church of God, Inc., she is a devoted choir member
Last but not least, Lenora is also a minister; she accepted her called into the ministry on September 30, 2005. She will tell anyone that she did not want to
accept her calling, but wanted to accept the blessings of God. But God told her you cannot accept the blessing I have for you, unless you accept the
calling that I have predestined for you. In her spare time Lenora enjoys music, singing, shopping, bowling, and spending time with her family.
Sherry is the oldest of five children. At the age of three years old, her father purchased her a little grand piano to bang and play on and from there started her musical career. She can remember her father placing her in front many people at the age of four years old voluntary and involuntary, but she stated, “By my dad and mom
pushing me the way they did, it made me the person that I am today”.
Sherry graduated in May 2004 with her Bachelors in Social Work at Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina. One of her greatest accomplishments was graduating Cum Laude.
At the age of fourteen years old she accepted Jesus
Christ as her personal Savior. In April 1997 the Lord called Sherry into the ministry. Sherry Dawson is the Minster of music, children and adult choir
director, and a teacher for the Adult Sunday School Class at her church. It has always been her desire to
pursue her dream in singing because she felt that it was one of the greatest ministries that God had place on her life. Sherry’s main goal in life is to live
up to the standards that God has for her and to accomplish all of her goals with the help of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
