When you guys started I was sure you were shooting for irritating-superwacky but it''s like a fucking sledge hammer, week after week, fucking octothorpe, you guys are just fucking LIKE THAT. On the issue of Octothorpe as mentioned above. I, for one, have found Octothorpe''s unique brand of musical mayhem a little hard to fathom over the course of their many releases (which is somewhat ironic coming from a Zappa fan!). However, I need to spend more time listening to their work to get a more full appreciation of it, and unfortunately I haven''t had the chance to do that though. One thing I will say about them though, and this is something I really respect about them, is that everytime you hear one of their songs, it is instantly recognisable as being Octothorpe. They have their own sound and you can spot it a mile away. There are not many bands these days that can claim such a feat.

These guys have definitely perfected their own sound. you can always count on them for bizarre, overdriven vocals. Nothing I''ve ever heard sounds like octothorpe.
Patrick Clayton (Rot To Fill):
Best music I''ve heard in an Octothorpe song. "Skyline"(from "Information Overload") will always be my personal favorite for breaking the barriers of "entertainment", but this is a close second. It''s your most accomplished piece. The drums sound great, and the keyboard is, well, very nice. Your songs are always enjoyable and often catchy (though not in necessarily the typical sense), but this is a strong piece that has a lot to offer all around.

Yeah, this is definitely Octothorpe. *grin* (I can faintly hear "and we wouldn''t have it any other way.") Cool percussion, interesting disjointed feel throughout. This is possibly my favorite Octothorpe song.
Jonas (On My Block):
This is one sinister song: the bass, the percussion, the twisted bazouki, the lyrics--especially "Forces at work on my block". It''s really expressive, conjuring up images of an otherworldly bazaar in some uncontrollable dream. It''s compelling and unsettling. There''s a sense of some larger story behind this nightmarish glimpse.

Not since I first heard Negativland have I been so happy to hear someone carry on the joyous rampage of postmodernist pop. Hats off. I can offer no suggestions because your methods already perfectly justify your madness. This is an unintelligable nugget of poetic energy.

I''m disappointed to see this won''t be played live. I would have been curious to see who''d play drums (*grin*)... I''m actually having a blast right now air-drumming along to it. Good vocal work. This is definitely Octothorpe... and lots of fun.
