Open Eye Universe: The band concept arrived after the first album " A Dedication to David Bowie ". An identity was created as a result of the experience or we arrived somewhere that is pleasant to create ongoing.
Open Eye Universe for us ,and hopefully you, relates to how our energy can become a pinpoint in space as we ripple our energy out and energy ripples toward our https://www.tradebit.com this case we ripple our energy out with music. There''s a whole lot of rippling going https://www.tradebit.com you check out the Kalachakra it relates somewhat the same way.
So in terms of Creatvity as we open our creative eye to what inspires us our energy ripples and like wise new energy absorbs to the point in space that we are at. So we begin at " Open Eye Universe " and what comes after that is creative thought and then creative action and creation.
We end up exploring many new boundrys of sound this way and in the long run it makes it more interesting for the listening experience once you catch our wave.
Sure we could have just picked a name for the band and left it at that but we really did feel the need to identify with the essence of our creativity and that is " Open Eye Universe ". Perhaps people will relate it to gazing into the stars at night with wonder about all of the mystery that surrounds us. That''s cool because that''s what we are https://www.tradebit.com gaze at creativity itself and just let the Universe take us where it wants to take us. The less resistance the more Open our Eyes are to the Universe.
If nothing else we have put a great deal of thought in to things.
Some of the tracks you will hear on this album are one take jams that we did once and only once from beginning to end with no editing. Totally improvizzzation. The band has not been able to put our finger on how we have arrived at this ability as most composers and bands spend alot of mechanical time working out perfect compositions. These compositions are perfect in the sense that they do have very solid subjects, bridges, and structure and they were created totally spontaneously and musically they work as https://www.tradebit.comr energy as a band knitted together for this music.
Now the idea of " Open Eye Universe " becomes even more relevant.
We must also thank David Bowie and the Bowienet for featuring some of the music from the album which gave indication that perhaps we were on the right https://www.tradebit.com don''t really worry about what track we are on. We just create on an ongoing basis and organize everything after we have been creating for a while. Everything seems to just fall into place that way.
You really need to hear the entire album to get the gist of what happened in the course of the sessions we had to create the album.
So just like say " Nirvana " begins at Nirvana, which is such a totally amazing concept for a band, we begin at " Open Eye Universe " and go from https://www.tradebit.comrt Cobain was ahead of his time like Hendrix and many others. It''s cool when people recognize your work while you''re still alive though.
Like David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Iggy Pop, Led Zep and so many others artistic vision becomes a personal trade mark and we can be distinguished by approach. Again" Open Eye Universe" works for us.
We did combine hard and soft many times together to create a modern contrast. That is ,we took what should have been a soft ballad and played a power guitar part. This at first seems like it doesn''t make sense but then as you listen it creates it''s own feeling for this new approach to making music. Keep in mind the majority of these songs were one take right off the top of our head. The only planning we made was what key we would play in and then for vocals we just used what ever creative thought was surging through our mind at the moment.
