Traphik aka Timothy DeLaGhetto is a young super genius renaissance man who has been using his outgoing personality and outlandish sense of humor to rapidly build a name for himself on Youtube, Myspace, and beyond. He started free styling with his friends in jr. high as a hobby which eventually lead to battling his fellow rapping classmates in high school. He was always the funny guy in class, but being an Asian rapper, he faced many judgmental people and raised eyebrows, but after a few battles, everybody started to realize that he was more than just the class clown and actually somebody with some lyrical ability. At the age of 18, he recorded his first track in his friend''s bedroom. Since then, he has recorded two mixtapes that were released online. Because of the support of his internet fan base, his first mixtape was downloaded over 300,000 times. One of the tracks included the viral video Youtube hit "The Kings of Myspace." "The Kings of Myspace" is comedic rap song that Traphik wrote about how to become popular on Myspace. The video which was directed and edited by one of his best friends Pedro Flores aka PDFlo has received over two and a half million views on Youtube. Traphik has his own channel on Youtube where he does everything from freestyle to crazy skits to even giving relationship/sex advice to whoever young teenagers all over the world. He has over 58,000 subscribers on Youtube and his videos have received over 17 million views and counting. He recently traveled to Ohio in the fall of 08 to work with up and coming rapper/producer duo Young Duece, who produced all of the tracks on his "Rush Hour" EP. Traphik is determined to make music that is authentic and goes beyond the facade of the commercialized stereotypes in rap music, to represent for his Asian community, and break some stereotypes as well.
