Originally a big city California girl, at a young age Rachel was introduced to the interior wilderness of British Columbia, Canada. Her parents being missionaries moved the family to a First Nations reserve in Fort https://www.tradebit.comes, where she grew to love the spiritually inspiring people and beauty of the ways of the land. Her father translated the Bible into the native Carrier language and recorded hymns with his wife in Carrier for the locals. And so, the lack of television and modern conveniences resulted in a loving home filled with music and entertainment of their own artistic device.
Rachel now resides in BC''s Cariboo region. As a singer / songwriter she can often be found performing in music festivals, concerts, coffee houses, fundraisers and TV telethons. She hosted a radio program called The Lighthouse for several years and continues to produce very creative and original musical works. As a visual artist, Rachel is an accomplished painter and potter, teaching art to children and families in her spare time.
She released her first album titled "SENT" in 2000, this acoustic driven original was well received and motivated her to continue her unique style of songwriting. She has just completed her second album titled "ZOROBABEL" released late 2004. This album features many different genres and creative instrumentation, it is full of energy and is soothing to the soul. This album includes Jon Tanis on electric guitar, mandolin, banjo and violin. Scott Matthies on percussion, Glenn Robson on the horn, and Stewart Kohut on Bass. Ann Shiels playing the baby grand and Rachel Walker on the keyboard, guitar and vocals. Her songs are inspired by life''s experiences in Jesus, as well as, the trials and joys of living in love and truth. She hopes her music may be received by those in need of a little rest from today''s hectic pace and inspire peace in Him.
