Details:
The Rachel Leyco Band has built a reputation as one of the most respected bands in Richmond, Virginia. Rachel was only 18 years old when her band was named one of Richmond''s five top musical acts by the Richmond Times Dispatch, an honor they shared with established national acts Pat McGee Band and Fighting Gravity.

RLB performs an ever-growing list of original songs -- from fast and catchy rock tunes, to dynamic grooves, to acoustic ballads -- all with Rachel''s smooth, rich vocals and crafty guitar playing. No matter how the music is labeled (adult-alternative-power-pop-electric-acoustic-rock?), the songs appeal to a wide range of listeners. The band intends to prove this claim with the release of its first full-length CD.

During the summer of 2004, the Rachel Leyco (say LAKE-oh) Band will tour to support its long awaited CD, Something Human. The tour will include several dates in southern California as an acoustic duo, with Rachel on guitar and John on djembe. Stops will include San Luis Obispo, Los Angeles, and San Diego. The band''s third studio project, Something Human picks up right from where 2002''s Walk Away and Page 102 single left off. The sound is refined and professional, with production quality and radio-friendly songs that will compete head-on with major label releases.

On the stage, the band receives such a positive response to its original offerings that cover songs have never been a major priority. However, to keep things interesting, RLB has introduced certain covers, energized and tastefully treated with their trademark sound, to the live show.

RLB has been making quite a splash in the Richmond music scene since its very inception, with performances at major area events like Friday Cheers, TV8''s Good Morning Richmond, River City Beer and Seafood Festival, Innsbrook Afterhours Almost Famous Band Competition, Capital City Band Festival, and Wednesdays on the Waterfront.

December of 2000 saw the release of The Path, Rachel Leyco Band''s debut EP. It continues to sell well at shows, and receives enthusiastic responses from listeners and reviewers. Its five tracks offer a sample of the quality musicianship and catchy songs that are staples of an RLB performance.

The Rachel Leyco Band appreciates your interest in the music, and they hope to have the opportunity to share a live performance with you very soon.
