Big Sky was Simon’s debut solo album, released in 1994. It was recorded at Grevillea Recording studios, Brisbane, Australia on a 24 track analog tape machine that was occasionally synced to an Alesis ADAT. Most of the tracks were recorded with a beautiful white Ibanez Universe through an ADA preamp into a 600watt Carver power amp and Dean Markely 4 x 12. It was an extremely ambitious project that garnered Simon a batch of awards and stellar street press. The music was also featured on Wide World of Sports, the ABC and the international tv series "Flipper". Big Sky is a prog-rock instrumental guitar journey of the highest proportion and is a testament to Simon’s creative energy and production skills. It has now been re-released for your guitar listening pleasure.
