Random Acts, the new CD by Kansas City composer, guitarist, and visual artist Jack Sharman, is a collection of pieces written for dancers, short films, and, in some cases, no particular reason at all. Drawing on a variety of musical influences, from film music to flamenco, Sharman has created a dynamic sonic environment that is at once openly electronic, and shamelessly orchestral in sentiment.
