NYC-based singer/songwriter/producer Shane Searles seems to have music in his blood (his mother is a classical harpist and he happens to be related to rock royalty The Beach Boys). Hailing originally from Portland, Oregon, after stints with several local rock bands, Shane decided to make the jump to New York City in the late nineties to pursue his music career.
Following the release of his debut solo album Pop/Rock (featuring the widely acclaimed powerpop cover of the Beach Boys hit God Only Knows), Shane took a fateful foray into an entirely different musical arena: European techno dance music. Collaborating with the likes of Alex Megane, Kyara, Jeremy Carr and Celia Chavez, many of his songs have ended up on dance music compilations all over the world.
With the release of his latest EP Stereo Made, Shane has blended his rock roots with a modern indie dance music vibe featuring 4 new original tunes and a cover of the Pixies classic, Debaser.
