Details:
Dr. Yoder holds a Bachelor’s degree from Goshen College, and Master’s and Doctorate degrees from the University of Illinois. At Illinois, he studied piano with Soulima Stravinsky, composition with Gordon Binkerd.

During my childhood, my family frequently sang swiss folk songs and yodels as a family unit. The composition entitled Emmenthaler Tunes is an adaptation of some of the melodies I recall along with enhancements and variations.

Throughout my learning and teaching years, I had been moved emotionally and mentally by the key of C minor. The composition C Minor Variations is my statement of this.
