Joseph A. Peragine has released his third solo album Lines 12,9,14,5,19. A project two years in the making, Lines 12,9,14,5,19 encompasses all of the different faces and styles of Joseph A. Peragine’s multi-layered/multi-instrumental songwriting. While Lines 12,9,14,5,19 touches on the themes of Joseph A. Peragine’s paranoid schizophrenia, reminiscent of his previous two releases “The Acoustic Diaries” and Self-Medication… Poems of Alienation” Joseph manages to switch it up yet once again and completely surprise his listeners with yet another different approach to his songwriting style on Lines 12,9,14,5,19. While Joseph ventures into new territory, not only with more instrumentation, but also with the ever-present expansion of his somber/Acoustic Diaries type vocals combined with, and flipping back and forth to the angry/hate-driven/Self-Medication…Poems of Alienation type/ screams of horror and desperation, Joseph belts out in tones similar to one who is trying to maintain a lifeline in the last seconds of an existence about to be taken from them, He yet again in a new and different way, paints a picture of what it’s like to live in the nightmare of his schizophrenia. Turning it on and off like a light switch of rage and sadness in a room without windows struggling to find a way out. That way out is the hope that Joseph desperately holds onto while trying to balance out the chaos that is created within the confines of his own mind. Deep in thought, blurring the LINES between madness and brilliance, Lines 12,9,14,5,19, lyrically, is an infinite coded puzzle displaying the hidden messages of Joseph’s delusional subconscious psyche.
