The DRAMA KREW of 1913 Records is one of Chicago''s premier hip-hop groups. The members are Bobby D''Nero,Big Dogg and South Side Irish.
In late 2006 Bigg Dogg and Southside who had a buzz in their high school and a reputation as some of the best underground hip hop mixtape and freestyle artists in Chicagoland was introduced to 1913 Records CEO Mr. Drama by Mr. Drama''s sister. After hearing Big Dogg and Southside''s mixtape and freestyling live it was decided by the label heads to sign the duo to a development deal. While honing their skills and recording demo tracks at the same time 1913 artist Bobby D'' Nero was working on his solo album it was decided that the three artist would be a group and was named the DRAMA KREW by label head Mr. Drama. In 2007 they were all signed to a recording contract by 1913 Records. Since then the Drama Krew has been grinding, performing at local events and festivals in the Chicago area.
The three young entertainers are some of the best young hip-hop artists around anywhere. They have a style that''s straight hip-hop; phat beats, hooks and a flow that catches your ear! What sets them apart from others is that their style fits well in any urban format. The DRAMA KREW may be new to the game but you sure can''t tell by their dynamic rhyme flow, which grabs you and won''t let you go. On their debut track "The Midwest", the DRAMA KREW serves notice that they are true hip hop heads and the Midwest has been slept on for far too long when it comes to essential rap artists. The DK is out to prove all non-believers wrong when it comes to hip hop in the Midwest.
On the track "Pilsen" they pay homage to their ''hood'' with a great hood anthem featuring 1913 Latin artist "Alejandro Medina" on the hook.
Even though the DRAMA KREW has that hard edge style they show they can party with the best of them with tracks like "If You Wanna" and "Soldier Boy" but it is the street bangas that you will fall in love with almost as much as the DRAMA KREW loves hip hop.
