Greasy Grapes is a band that was born in Caracas - Venezuela by the initiative of Antonio Romero, guitarist, composer and audio engineer, who in late 2006 began a search for musicians to start a Rock & Roll project with influences from legendary bands like Led Zepellin, The Rolling Stones, Faces and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Soon Rafael Márquez, drummer, producer and audio engineer, with whom he had worked on several projects, offered to join forces with him and start to record demos and write arrangements for songs that Antonio had composed. Then, Alberto Márquez, who at the time was finishing his studies in classic guitar, joins them. He is a bassist, guitarist and composer, and a long time friend of Antonio. Finally joins them Leopold Laya, a singer, composer and audio engineer, who studied audio engineering with Rafael years ago. In mid 2008, after months of composition, pre-production and rehearsals Greasy Grapes finishes his first album: "At the Back of the Hill" , in Caracas - Venezuela.
