Details:
The debut solo album from Randy Stern; former singer, songwriter and guitarist for Brooklyn, New York''s iconic indie rockers, The Nerve.

Over his ten year career with The Nerve, Randy cultivated a tremendous amount of experience. The Nerve self-released two albums, an EP, and three videos. Their 3rd and final album was released by veteran indie label, Heyday Records (Marty Willson-Piper, The Church, The Surfaris, David J) and produced by renowned guitar hero, Bumblefoot (Guns N'' Roses). Subsequently, Randy was invited to play guitar in Mr. Foot''s touring band for his 2005 tour of Europe. On December 16th, 2006 The Nerve played its final show in New York City.

In the short time since then, Randy has quickly established himself as a strong solo artist. In a far departure from the punk/grunge leanings of his old band, Mr. Stern has evolved into a much more seasoned, subtle sound and roots oriented approach. His new songs contain an elemental simplicity and maturity developed and expanded from his earlier period with the band. Songs such as "Home", "Better Days", "Rita" and "In the Midnite" reflect themes of redemption, empowerment, relationships, and hope in the face of adversity. His live performances have been described as heartfelt, immediate, and soulful.

Inevitably, this has all culminated in the release of "Give". The album was produced by Hugh Pool, known for his work with The National, Patti Smith, Rufus Wainwright and legendary blues artist Hubert Sumlin. Once again, Randy is working with Heyday Records.

As fans of The Nerve would attest, this is a much anticipated release. With the new album and a summer tour of the states planned, 2009 promises to be a very exciting year for Randy Stern.
