In heaven, before the creation of man God encompassed Himself with the sounds of music played by a beautiful being, a covering cherub, known as Lucifer. He was God''s worship leader and had the blessed task of releasing harmonious sounds that reflected the beauty, splendor and magnificence of the Most High God. As the story goes on he was cast out of heaven and has since attempted to use music to pervert and disgrace The Awesome God we serve today. Even to the point of using music to desensitize generations of people to the realities of God.
To recapture the original intent of music we need not look any further than King David. Unlike any other in time, King David captured God''s heart and mandate for music in ministry. He established the Tabernacle of David in a place known as Mt. Zion; It was there King David appointed musicians to play before the God of Israel 24 hours a day 7 days a week. He set up a chain of command under the hands of prophets who were skillful in song, stringed instruments, horns, cymbals and the like. They worshipped, praised, prayed and prophesied in shifts of 2 hours before the Most High. Unlike King David''s predecessors he knew the consistent sacrifice of praise was what God required. As the order of heavenly worship was now established in the earth realm, God came in that atmosphere and His presence rested on the land as long as they continued in that pattern of worship.
The "Sounds of Zion" is a faithful exploit to initiate in our day a hopeful glimpse of what our Father is requiring of our generation so He can come and release His abiding presence in our midst. As the music of this cd resounds in your ears may there come a desire in you to partner with the global church and release the worship, praise and intercession that''s due to our King, the Lord Jesus Christ. For inside of every human being is God ordained potential to release sounds that create atmospheres worthy of His presence.
