Details:
"Despite their self-imposed "modern rock" tag, New York City''s The WMDs don''t stack their songs with heaps of over-compressed distortion. This is a good thing, as most music that modern-rock radio embraces is so generic and processed. The WMDs favor melodies wrapped in tasteful string arrangements. You can easily spot the influences, such as Tom Petty, but the band wears them well and does them proud. And damn, how many bands can say they take a Beatles influence and make something original with it? Actually, I can only think of one - this one."
-Saby Reyes-Kulkarni, Rochester City News

"As final gift to the New York rock community, The Luna Lounge has found The WMDs"
-Time Out New York

"Now would be the time to catch The WMDs, as they sound as fresh and vital as they are focused"
-New York Press, 1/24/07

"I love these guys! They''re my ''wax to watch'', ''future gold'' or to put it in today''s talk, ''the load that''s not down'' "
-Joey Reynolds - WOR Radio (Rock n'' Roll Hall of Fame)

-Mix 94.1 FM Las Vegas

"New York City''s The WMDs might have a name that evokes political rage but this isn''t a political band. Instead the songs are stripped down opuses about personal stories and experiences, wrapping them in a walled in pop-rock room thats spacious and surprisingly crafty. This band deserves to have a whole lot of attention paid to it."

"The other night we checked out Brian Bauers & The WMDs at Arlene''s Grocery (95 Stanton Street, between Ludlow and Orchard). The WMDs are a modern rock group formed in 2004 by singer/songwriter Brian Bauers, and guitarist Jaime Sturm.
Their sound is 1962 Hamburg meets 1990 Seattle. There are lyrical, melodic moments, but they''re well padded in a hard, wallpounding beat."
-Yori Yanover, Grand Street News

"Brian Bauers delivers his well-written lyrics with passion and arranges and plays his music with an understated maturity."
