From his bleeding-heart ballads, to his mid tempo struts and stories of bare emotion, Sean Wood has found a very unique place for himself. Coming from the famed Jazz Studies program at Boston''s New England Conservatory, Wood discovered his love for writing, while discovering revered legends like Sarah Vaughan, Thelonious Monk and Chet Baker. Wood began writing some of the first pieces of "Cannonball" while in his final years of school. Culminating a half decade later, the songs on "Cannonball", evoke shades of Patty Griffin, and of the blue eyed-roots-soul of Ray LaMontagne. "Cannonball" will no doubt help propel Wood''s voice onto a bigger platform that can only lead to a very successful career.
