Seven Day Grace
Hailing from sunny Jacksonville, Florida, Seven Day Grace is a remarkable Christian band that seamlessly blends melodic and southern rock influences with outstanding musicianship, soaring vocals, and impressive lyrics in order to create memorable and meaningful worship experiences for concert audiences of all ages. Fans embrace the relevance, energy, and unique sound of Seven Day Grace, especially the melodic rock vibe threading throughout the band’s music. Foremost, however, listeners are deeply moved by the atmosphere of celebration and worship that accompanies each Seven Day Grace concert.
Seven Day Grace traces its roots to a special evening in 2001, in the youth-filled cafeteria of Baker County High School in Macclenny, Florida. Assigned to provide live music for the Christian youth event, this cross-denominational group of youth leaders and church musicians brought together their musical talents…and rocked the night! They also discovered within each other a kindred spirit dedicated to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, service to their local churches, and musical excellence. The enthusiastic reception their music received made it clear that they had something…and so Seven Day Grace was born….
Each of the seven members of the band are dedicated, born-again Christians who are active in their local churches as Music Ministers, Youth Pastors, Sunday School Teachers, and Church Musicians. This solid grounding in their respective local churches keeps the band centered on lifting up Jesus Christ in every concert. More than a powerful musical experience, the band’s greatest desire is that true, Christ-centered worship be an integral part of every performance.
BIOS
Mick Shatz / Lead Vocals. Mick is the Music Minister for Hillcrest Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida. His powerful, soulful vocals bring life to that band’s original songs and add fresh energy to song standards. He is the band’s primary songwriter, and is married to Jackie. They have three children: Julia, Noah, and Emily.
Amber Ferreira / Keyboard and Vocals. Amber is a talented pianist and vocalist. Her smooth harmonies and strong keyboard skills enhance and solidify the band’s sound. She is a songwriter/arranger and frequently serves as guest pianist for several local churches/ministries, including Hillcrest Baptist and Souls Harbor Church of God. She is married to Todd. They have two children (so far!): Emma and Ellie.
Larry Mott / Lead Guitar and Vocals. An outstanding lead guitarist, Larry’s music take Seven Day Grace to the next level musically, while his solid harmonies provide a richer, fuller texture to the band’s vocals. He attends Fishhawk Fellowship in Lithia, Florida (near Tampa). He is married to Scarlett.
Nathan Scott / Drums. Nathan is a PK and a world-class drummer who lays down the strong, driving foundation for the band. He is a church musician for the Souls Harbor Church of God in Glen St. Mary, Florida, serving as both the Youth Pastor and the Director of Multimedia Ministries. He is married to Joyce and has three children: Matthew, Megan, and Madison.
Jerry Ganey / Percussion. With a solid background in rock music, Jerry’s experienced rhythms bring an added dimension and flavor to the band’s music, always inspiring calls for “More Cowbell!” at each concert. He is a church musician for Hillcrest Baptist Church and is married to Frieda.
Richard Crews / Guitars. Richard is the youngest member of the band and has gained a reputation as a strong, up-and-coming rock guitarist. He is a songwriter/arranger for the band, as well as a church musician for First Baptist of Glen St. Mary.
Aaron Scott / Bass. Brother of Nathan Scott, Aaron is also a church musician for the Souls Harbor Church of God, as well as a songwriter/arranger for the band. His strong, solid bass playing is a crucial part of the strong foundation upon which the band’s music is built. He is the Director of the Seniors Ministry at his local church, and is married to Stephanie Scott. They have one child: Samuel.
