Details:
Shira Gellman was born in Toronto and studied music in Montreal. She comes from a musical family including her father, Paul Gellman who is a song-writer, her brother Josh Gellman and her sister Julia Gellman.
She began writing her own songs at fifteen when she finally began playing guitar. She plays trombone and ukelele too and loves to sing. She was the bassist in a pop trio based out of Montreal called The Get Sets who did a short tour of Ontario. Now she is doing solo work, just having finished her first full length album.
