One of the best things to befall Steven Francque happened in 2002. Laid off in a post 9/11 economy, he decided to start writing songs. He''d never given himself permission to try it. This seemed like the perfect scenario. He''d spend the summer with his new little Boss 4-track and see what grew.
The first thing that came out was 2 Cents. He kept going. Started screwing up the courage to hit up a few open mics. Slowly, he gained enough experience to actually enjoy the process. A year later, he had put together a little self-produced album called "The Ravenswood Sessions"....recorded in the shadow of the Chicago elevated Brown Line tracks. Not bad for a first attempt. He kept writing.
Steven''s a self-proclaimed late bloomer. But he''s still got a lot to say. About your typical and not so typical themes....you''ll hear that on his latest effort. He''s on to the next one now....hopefully by year''s end, another collection of gems will see daylight. Until then.....check out "Digging In The Dirt".
