Details:
The underground got brighter and more focussed because of edgy, guerrilla art bands in the early 1990s. Instead of following Nirvana-like clone bands, Dogpile brought originality and angst to an all-time new level of aural alchemy. William Paul Adams did so by forcing angst and inventive vibes to the forefront. In this way, Dogpile contributed highly to the industrial underground revolution. By focussing squarely on pushing the envelope further than other bands, the notorious Dogpile garnered much attention for his vision. No one could hear this music without feeling changed. It was as if they were bringing on a baptism of primeval emotions, yet in a most intelligent and psychologically altering way.
Live shows were events where people would come to hear their inner gut-wrenching emotions brought to life and filtered through amplifiers and P.A. systems.
As word spread of the volume of the sonic impact Kk Records in Europe signed his band and from there, Dogpile toured Europe three times over 3 years.
Here’s an abridged rundown of events:
1991: Revved Up, Wiped Out, Battered, Shattered, Creamed and Reamed LP/CD released. (Kk Records/Cargo Records)
1992: Black Fag CD released to much critical acclaim. (Kk Records/Cargo Records)
1993: Live Butt Plugged CD EP. (Kk Records/Cargo Records)

Public appearances included:
1992: Tegentunen Festival at the Paradiso in Amsterdam.
1993: Toured Europe.
1993: Released video for “Slow Evil” off “Revved Up” but deemed too offensive for airplay in North America due to the Rodney King beating by police; did receive airplay on MTV Europe and Sky TV.
1993: Appeared on the cover of Toronto Gay magazine Xtra.
1994: Played the New Music Seminar at The Bank in NYC.
1994: Toured Europe.
1995: Played Gay Pride Day in Toronto

Soon various important producers, such as Killing Jokes’ Paul Raven, vied to capture Dogpile’s unique sound. It was not to be; William stayed hands-on with its music, and eventually started his own recording studio, Lunar Park Recording.
The output of Lunar Park is spectacular: William is accomplishing his greatest works to date there. William’s latest venture is “Dragging the Mule”. 2009 Will see the release of the CD “That Hideous Strength” and the CD EP “Xeni Gwet’in”. It appears as if a new scene is being started, once again.

Dragging The Mule Discography:
