Hadar Manor is an Urban Gypsy with a voice full of character and beauty.
One day while busking Janis Joplin''s "Me and Bobby McGee" by the canals of Amsterdam, a man with a patch on his left eye approached her with beautiful stories about London''s pavements of gold and tea parties.
Hadar followed him to arrive at the rock in the middle of the North Sea. Later on she learned never to believe a man with a patch on his left eye. But London treated Hadar well - busking in Underground tunnels was a sufficient replacement for golden pavements.
After Hadar won a little golden crown in London''s "Queen of the Underground" competition, life got more surreal with invitations to meet the then Mayor Ken Livingstone, Mr Kevin Spacey, Michael Eavis, and a brief visit to No. 10 Downing St. She also appeared on ITV''s South Bank Show with Melvin Bragg and performed at the Glastonbury Festival.
Hadar''s eagerly awaited debut album "Crossing London" encapsulates her journeys and experiences from over the seas and around London Town. The album will be released on 24th March, 2009. Hadar is celebrating the release with a gig at the famous 12 Bar Club in London, accompanied by some of the eclectic collection of musicians who contributed to the album and shared her musical journey.
