Yank My Jane is the experimental project of three guys
from the bible belt in East Texas and their shared influence of british artists like the Who, The Police,
Elvis Costello and the Beatles. More like Saturday morning cartoons than Urban Cowboy, Yank My Jane features diverse songwriting from two drastically different vocalists in Jim Day and Mike Forbus. Jim leans toward The Police and edgy songwriting while Mike brings the quirky vocal stylings of Smashing Pumpkins and Pete Townshend style writing to the band. Drummer Trey Weinberg brings it all together with his Pete Thomas inspired aggressive percussion to make a truly unique band.
