Back in February 2008 front man Josh Brooks (after returning from a two year get away in Hatteras, North Carolina) opt a proposal to three long time friends to start something new. We wanted to step out of the box a little bit and head back to our roots. The goal was to give the vibe of late 90''s music like Third Eye Blind and Matchbox Twenty but keep a modern edge much like The Fray and John Mayer. From there came the writing process and a lot of talk about whats next.
In October of that same year, after getting a few shows under our belt and some great responses from fans, the next step came into play, recording. We took two weeks off and began to put together our debut album "Last Call EP" with producer Jack Trammell. "Last Call EP" Recently received a 9.5 out of 10 in SKONLINE Magazine (Recieving better reviews than New Found Glory, Thursday and Number 12 Looks Like You)
With the background and chemistry going back almost 8 years and a sound unlike anything in the Northern California area, The Mainland is ready to push to our limits and accomplish anything we put our mind to.
