Strange Matter
The Mood of S P A C E is music that touches on many musical styles and obits around sci-fi sounds and space age collages. Spacious synthesizers and mellow guitar solos fill out arrangements in the vain of film scores or minimal experiments. But on this new cd, “Strange Matter”, there are experiments in vocals and folky tunes with beds of science fiction regularly bubbling underneath.
From the wikipedia: "Strange matter is a particular form of quark matter, usually thought of as a ''liquid'' of up, down, and strange quarks. Strange matter is hypothesized to occur in the core of neutron stars, or, more speculatively, as isolated droplets that may vary in size from femtometers (strangelets) to kilometers (quark stars)."
There are ten tracks on “Strange Matter”, five of which have vocals that tell stories of traveling through space on a “Peaceful Jetstream” thru “Zen Rings”, experiencing freezing to death in “Winter Dreams”, or tails of a sailor men who turns into islands, or the simple appreciation of a “Grandfather’s Reclining Chair”. Strange topics, but then again, this is a strange Matt.
The Mood of S P A C E is fronted by Matt Linder, who works in visual effects on motion picture films like "The Chronicles of Narnia", "Night at the Museum", "The Incredible Hulk", and the up coming "Land of the Lost".
