Details:
Chris Musolf is a singer/songwriter/guitarist in the Portland, Oregon (USA) area. Released in November of 2002, The Fifty Year Dream is his solo debut, after having his songs covered by other musicians during the past twenty years. This collection of his songs is an eclectic mix of original tunes in a variety of styles.

Chris first picked up a guitar in the sixties after being inspired by the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. Some time later, he started writing his own songs. He has spent a decade attending music workshops with songwriters such as Linda Waterfall and Carol McComb, as well as guitar masters Paul Chasman, Bob Brosman, Nina Gerber. His influences include acoustic blues, swing and folk, allowing him to craft songs that match music to lyric sentiment.

His songs address everyday topics with a mixture of humor, emotion and contemplation:

"I find that I write mostly love songs. Of course, there''s a lot of leeway there. Love can be painful, sweet, fulfilling, emptying, all kinds of things... Then there are the songs that get written just because life is full of other things to make it interesting."
