Pop Jazz sensation Baatin has recently completed his first solo project Baatin has been recognized for many years on the Jazz/R&B-Fusion scene as a very formidable Vocalist/Musician.

There are several outstanding piano players on the scene today, as well as saxophonists, an abundance of guitar players prevail and add to that, a number of Flute players.

With all due respect to all the great players, there are very few, if any, artists on the scene today that have the level of command of several instruments (i.e.

Keyboards, Saxophone, Flute, Guitar and Bass) as Baatin.

Not to mention that he is an outstanding Baritone Vocalist.

He recently finished touring the United States with the "Original P" version of Parliament/Funkadelic playing keyboards, guitar, sax and flute and singing background vocals.

He is also featured singing background, playing sax and keyboards on two selections of the new "Original P" ([https://www.tradebit.com] Parliament/Funkadelic) CD.

Three of the tracks on this newest Westbound records effort by the legendary hall of famers, entitled "What dat shakin" were also engineered and mixed by Baatin.

This artist has a distinct style on each of his instruments.

Although his playing and singing sometimes gives hints of artists like Will Downing, Najee, George Duke, and George Benson.

His compositional style is progressive and diverse but still retains integrity.

Baatin grew up listening to and eventually playing with members of James Brown''s Band.

He was deeply influenced by the crop of world class musicians that were so sought after in Macon GA in the 70s.

Noted as an extremely talented and gifted musician, vocalist and composer, Baatin has headlined and participated in many local and regional musical events and festivals.

He has opened concerts with such greats as: Bobby Bland, The Chi-Lites, The Festival of Light- (Chicago 1989) Macon Heritage Music Festival (Macon) Dave Brubeck, James Brown, Kingfest 1991-Atlanta, Lionel Ritchie,Mandrill, Roy Ayers The Commodores and The Dells.

He sang tenor and was student director of the world-renowned Boggs Academy Accapella Chorus for two years while still in high school.

While attending college at Mercer University in Macon Georgia, Baatin continued to develop his instrumental skills hanging and jamming with members of several Capricorn record label groups such as the Allman Brothers Band, Bobby Womack, Joe Simon and others.

It was during his college days that Baatin was hired to tutor the sons of the late "Otis Redding".

While only 19 and still in college, Baatin wrote and produced the instrumental; "Laid Back Funk" recorded on Playboy Records which received praise in "Cash Box" Magazine.

It made the top 20 in several of the north mid-west regional markets as an instrumental selling around 65,000 units.

Baatin''s new album is scheduled to be released the summer of 2000 and is sure to woo the contemporary jazz audience.

The CD will include 10 songs of which 9 are originals, These vocal and instrumental tunes will employ the style that is distinctly his.
