The current lineup solidified shortly after the bands inception in 2007. With the correct mix of styles and personalities complete, as well as a clear musical direction, the band is already jumping ahead in the mix that is the SoCal music scene. This exciting band shows promise of maturing into a mainstay on many an ipods playlist as well as radio and television. With their wide range of intensity and tone combined with catchy thoughtful lyrics, Beauty Kills brings fresh perspective to fans of rock music and it’s many subgenres. The current lineup is Kelly Morris (Vox & Piano), Aaron Kaai (Guitars & Electronica), Jon Hughes (Bass/Guitar) and Jason Fernandez (Drums & Electronica).
Currently Beauty Kills is finishing up the final mixes for their self produced and mixed as of yet untitled debut release. A diverse set of songs, the music ranges from the angry “Stressed Out” a song about being pushed to far, to the introspective “Under the Influence” which deals with the struggles of alcoholism, the unrequited love of “X-Rated” as well the acoustic emotional tour de force simply known as “Goodbye”. Also in the works for 2009 are a video release and tour to follow. Stay tuned!
