He has spent more than a decade on the underground scene training and perfecting his craft like a world class prize fighter. As a result, Boobytrap Luce Cannon is a virtual hip hop machine dismantling anything that stands in his way.
"The quality of hip hop is at its lowest point in history", says the confident rapper. "It''s kinda like playing Madden or NBA Live. If you play it on beginner or medium, you can dominate. But if you play it on superstar or on the highest level, you''re gonna have to bring your A game if you wanna win. His debut album, Cinematic, is a musical journey of a hungry hustler with nothing, who works his way to success. Born and raised in Southern California, very early on his calling was clear. As a young teenager he quickly linked up with the best local MC''s and hip hop crews and formed a tight bond. "We would go everywhere from other schools to house parties to Venice Beach calling out MC''s. It was all friendly competition. We would form a cypher... battle and engage in verbal combat with anybody who wanted it. If they were garbage then they got smashed but if they were nice wit it we would invite them to this lil hole in the wall studio that my homeboy ran. That''s were we pushed each other to become better, freestyl''in, doing rap endurance drills and recording."
As a youngster he was also mentored by members of the rap group, KMC. One of the first rap acts to be signed to Priority Records along with the legendary gangsta rappers, NWA.
Regularly rocking the historical, House Of Blues, The Roxy, and other Sunset strip hot spots along with acts such as Common, The Black Eyed Peas and G-Unit to name a few, has created major buzz and a legion of fanatical supporters eager to get their hands on a Boobytrap Luce Cannon cd.
