About the record:
“More Art For The World” is a collection of songs I’d kicked around in different creative scenarios for a while. These songs were produced with love in my heart. “Napalm” and “Drip to the Stars” are more anti-war tunes. It’s my contention that war is always a moral failure.
Why “Bunny Patootie?”
"Bunny Patootie" is my musical alias. It allows for my playful detachment from the creative process. It helps me to not take anything too seriously – this is only music! "Bunny Patootie" is light-hearted! And, it''s catchier than Michael Caskey!
The Bunny Story:
In Southwestern Michigan, on a farm called Peacewood, I came out of my momma’s body. Peacewood featured organic produce, wildflowers, woods, long summers and deep winters, yup.
At a young age, I was present for many musical gatherings. There was always a piano and (later) a drumset. Everybody sang. I sang too. When alone, I would turn up the bass knob on the family stereo so I could hear the drums better. These are my earliest memories of being excited about music.
My older brother had some rock ''n'' roll records and an electric guitar. He was always singing and writing songs. He was in bands and encouraged me to play too. I came to believe music was the best thing I could possibly do. I took lessons. I made music my whole life. First high school, college - then city living, playing in groups, jamming, recording - and always writing in some capacity.
If I had my druthers, I would record and produce new music non-stop with all kinds of different people. That is my light, so blinding. Yum.
