The Inheritance features two strong singer/songwriters, Ken Jayis and Kirkman Ridd, who layer vocal harmonies and acoustic & electric guitars over driving rhythms of bass and drums. The band released three albums on Upside Out Records in the mid ''90''s and toured extensively for many years, garnering national recognition and critical acclaim. Not surprisingly, many of The Inheritance''s songs were inspired by, and written on, the road. Once out of print for ten years, these albums are now being re-released.

Some of The Inheritance''s many tour stops included: The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, TN, La Zona Rosa in Austin, TX, Jack''s Sugar Shack in Hollywood, CA, and the North By Northeast Music Festival in Toronto, Canada.
The band performed live on many radio and television stations across America including WYCE (Grand Rapids, MI), WVIA (Pittston, PA), WMNF (Tampa, FL), KRSH (Santa Rosa, CA), and KXCI (Tucson, AZ).
In addition to Ken and Kirkman, The Inheritance''s albums feature such accomplished musicians as bassist Bob Birch (Elton John), drummers Dennis Edwards (Eddie Money) and David Raven (Steve Earle), guitarist Mike Miller (Yellowjackets), saxophonist Robert Kyle (Linda Hopkins), and longtime friend keyboardist Keith McDaniel.
